Industial Hydraulic Equipment
The sealing capability of industrial hydraulics, such as: cylinder production, hydraulic pump and motor production, etc. - is influenced by many factors and these factors must be taken into consideration starting from the design phase. We need to consider the proper function of each single component of the sealing system - scraper, sealing or guide ring. But most of all we need to consider the proper function of the hydraulic equiptment as a total system. Therefore we consider the most appropriated materials, the most suitable profiles, and the most suitable sealing configuration.
A sealing system is made of several components. Each component should be chosen to tandem the system, thus to allow the system to perform in different conditions. Therefore, the first strategic factor is the right choice of materials.
Too high pressure values, combined with a wrong clearance may cause seal wear and therefore leakage because of extrusion effects. Pressure peaks are an additional challenge to the sealing system. Low pressure is just as difficult to be sealed. The use of specific sealing technology is required with every hydraulic equipment, depending for its application.
Fluid temperature, as well as the temperature generated by the friction of the sealing elements, considerably influence the behaviour and performance of the sealing system in an industrial hydraulic equipment. Thus, it is fundamental to maintain an oil microfilm between the sealing lip and the running surface.
Certain factors have to be taken into consideration when evaluating the speed: in particular the contact surface roughness, the oil temperature and the operating temperature. These three factors combined with the seal material influence the maximum speed the system can support. Special attention is paid to very low and very high speed applications.
Mineral oils or green biodegradable oils are mainly used in industrial hydraulic equipment. However doubts can arise regarding the compatibility between oils and sealing systems. The sealing technologies we offer are tested for many cycles and show outstanding results.
